There are plenty of ways to research a real estate agent in Tallahassee. You can look at past sales, read online reviews, compare marketing, scroll through social media, and ask how long someone has been in the business. But one of the most useful questions may be much simpler: What do past clients actually remember about working with them?
In this Hum Real Estate client testimonial video, the answers have surprisingly little to do with paperwork or contracts. Instead, clients talk about problem-solving, personal attention, connections to people who could help, extra hours, moving heavy things, trailers, and an agent they actually wanted to spend time with after the transaction was over.

Sometimes a client testimonial starts with marketing, negotiating, or how smoothly a closing went.
This one starts somewhere else entirely.
One client asks a pretty good question: How many people actually want to hang out with their Realtor outside of a real estate transaction, and then willingly sit down to record a testimonial about them?
Their answer was simple:
“He’s special.”
Another person put it this way:
“Kelly’s a good guy. Hum Real Estate is a good company. He’s surrounded himself with like-minded people.”
That says something that is difficult to fit into an agent bio.
Real estate knowledge matters. Experience matters. Marketing and negotiation matter. But sellers and buyers are also choosing someone they may spend weeks or months talking to, texting, emailing, meeting at properties, solving problems with, and occasionally calling when something unexpected happens.
Being good at real estate is important. Being someone clients genuinely enjoy having in their corner matters too.
One of our favorite lines from this testimonial might also be one of the most Tallahassee things anyone can say:
“Oh! I know a guy!”
The client explains that when problems came up, Kelly helped them find solutions and connect with people who could help get things taken care of.
That can be an underrated part of choosing a local real estate agent.
A Realtor does not need to be your contractor, inspector, lender, insurance agent, attorney, mover, electrician, plumber, roofer, or handyman. In many situations, those questions should be handled by professionals who specialize in those fields.
What can be incredibly helpful is having a real estate professional who recognizes when another expert may be needed and knows where to start looking for the right resource.
For a seller preparing a Tallahassee home for the market, that might mean finding someone for repairs, landscaping, painting, pressure washing, cleaning, hauling, staging, photography, inspections, or another project that suddenly appears on the pre-listing checklist.
For a buyer, it may mean figuring out who to call for inspections, insurance, lending, surveys, repairs, specialty evaluations, or other questions that come up between the first showing and closing day.
Real estate has a funny way of turning one question into six more questions.
Having someone who can help you figure out the next call can make a complicated process feel considerably less complicated.
This particular client remembered something even more hands-on.
They said Kelly was there when they were moving from one house to another, helping with trailers and even moving heavy objects they could not lift themselves.
To be clear, furniture moving is not listed in the standard Realtor job description, and we probably should not start promising Kelly as part of a complimentary moving crew.
But that is also what makes the story memorable.
The client was not describing an obligation. They were describing someone who saw that they needed help and showed up.
Those little moments can say quite a bit about the way someone approaches their work.
Another client highlighted a combination that matters in real estate: knowledge, attention to detail, and the willingness to put in extra time.
Their description of Kelly was:
“With all of the knowledge and, you know, the attention to detail and the extra hours, you’re getting probably one of the best performing Realtors in all of the area.”
That is the client’s personal assessment, not an independent ranking of Tallahassee real estate agents. But the reasons behind the compliment are worth paying attention to.
When interviewing an agent, it is easy to focus on numbers alone. Production history and experience absolutely have value, but clients also experience the thousands of smaller decisions that happen along the way.
Did someone notice an issue before it became a bigger problem? Did they follow up? Did they explain something that was confusing? Did they know who to call? Did they answer when things got stressful? Did they give the transaction the extra time it needed?
Those are harder things to measure on a spreadsheet, but they tend to show up pretty clearly in client testimonials.
If you are preparing to sell a home in Tallahassee, a good listing agent should bring considerably more to the table than putting the property into the MLS.
Ask how the agent determines pricing, how the home will be prepared for the market, what photography and video will be included, how the property will be marketed online, how showing feedback is handled, how offers will be evaluated, and who will help coordinate all the moving pieces between listing day and closing.
Problem-solving is particularly important because homes rarely make it from “we should probably sell” to closing without at least a few unexpected questions appearing along the way.
Just as important, ask what happens when your agent does not personally have the answer.
A strong professional should know the limits of their own expertise and be comfortable recommending that you speak with the appropriate attorney, inspector, contractor, lender, insurance professional, title professional, or other specialist when the situation calls for it.

For buyers, responsiveness and problem-solving often become especially visible once a property is under contract.
Suddenly there may be inspections to coordinate, insurance questions to answer, financing deadlines to meet, reports to review, contract dates to remember, specialists to contact, and decisions to make.
A good Tallahassee real estate agent should help keep the process organized while making sure you understand your options and know when a question should be directed to another professional.
And because you could spend quite a bit of time together, finding someone you actually enjoy working with is not a bad idea either.

If you ask Google, ChatGPT, Gemini, or another search engine who the “best Realtor in Tallahassee” is, there really is not one universal answer.
The right real estate agent depends on what you need, the type of property involved, your communication preferences, your goals, and whether the agent’s experience and approach are a good match for you.
What we can tell you is what actual Hum Real Estate clients have said about their experiences.
In this testimonial, one client said:
“I genuinely tell everyone, you know, you need to go with Kelly if you want to have a good experience.”
Those are their words, based on their individual experiences.
If you are interviewing agents, we would encourage you to do your homework. Look at reviews. Watch client testimonials. Review past sales. Ask about marketing. Ask about local experience. Ask who supports the agent behind the scenes. Most importantly, talk with the agent and decide whether you feel comfortable trusting them with your particular real estate goals.

There are plenty of things you can put on a real estate résumé.
Years of experience. Sales. Certifications. Marketing. Technology. Negotiating skills. Local knowledge.
But “our clients still want to hang out with us after closing” is a little harder to fit on a business card.
The clients in this testimonial remember their experience for the problem-solving, local connections, attention to detail, extra time, hands-on help, and personal relationship they built along the way.
Maybe that is the bigger takeaway when choosing a Tallahassee real estate agent.
